Smile

Happy Wednesday!

Little Miss M is growing and changing every day. I can’t believe she is already 9 weeks old, and I have to say her smile is the best thing in the world.

We have been living in the world of colic for the last few weeks…poor Miss M’s tummy just gives her fits. We think (aka hoping) we are beginning to see the light as she heads toward the 12 week mark! For a few weeks, life was a blur and some nights are still long, but we are getting a little more sleep these days. She is definitely growing. At her two month appointment she was almost 24 inches long and 11.9 pounds…long and lean. Her 0-3 month clothes are getting to short, but her 3-6 month clothes are too big around. What’s a girl to do?

She is so ready to sit up and move. She loves it when we prop her up in her boppy pillow. She can roll over halfway now and gets so frustrated when she gets stuck. It is quite the game we play. Once she figures out how to crawl, I don’t think we will ever sit down. She also gives life a running commentary of coos, ahhs and other sounds. I wish I knew what she was saying and she loves it when you sit down and just talk to her. Who needs toys when you can have a conversation. She just laughs and coos right along with you…it is so cute!

Sorry for my delays in post…hopefully I am back on the blog wagon now!!

Miss M

Discharged!

Miss M. was discharged from the hospital today so the new Berg family of 3 is now in their home away from home at the hotel!  Praise the Lord for this answered prayer.  They are waiting to hear back from lawyers, etc. about travel arrangements but hope that they will be headed back to Arkansas by the end of the week.  Kate said she’d be back to the blog in the next few days.

Kate has called in a prayer request.  They were hopeful that today would be the day they would be released from the hospital but it looks like that will not happen until tomorrow so they are asking for prayer that all the discharge details will be worked out quickly and efficiently.  Please pray God’s peace that passes all understanding to wrap them up right now.  Pray that their hearts would know of God’s control right now just as much as their heads do.

On a good, light note, Miss M. loves to eat, loves her pacifier, loves snuggling, and is already trying to sort out her days and nights🙂

We got word that Miss M was welcomed into the world today at 1:42 pm (ET), weighing 8 lbs 7 oz, 21 inches long.  Kate says “she is amazing”.  Everyone is doing well.  All praise goes to the Lord for answering Bob and Kate’s prayers of having a room to share with her at the hospital.   I know your prayers and sweet thoughts are dear to Bob and Kate right now.

Tomorrow

This will be my last post for a few days, but no worries my friend Elizabeth will keep you updated on all of the action.

I have got to be honest I really don’t know what to write. So I ask for your prayers and leave you with the what God has spoken to me over and over again during our journey:

“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Deuteronomy 30:19-20

If I do not teach my daughter but one thing, it must be to choose life by loving God, listening to his voice and holding fast to Him.
